Job Title: Secondary Maths Teacher
Location:Newcastle
Start Date: October Half Term 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time / Long-Term (with potential for permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)

A well-regarded secondary school in Newcastle is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join their team from October half term 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to students’ progress and enjoyment of mathematics.

About the Role:

  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths to mixed ability groups
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire learners
  • Planning, marking, and assessing in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with the Maths department to raise achievement
  • Opportunity to contribute to extracurricular or intervention programmes

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Specialism in Mathematics with strong subject knowledge
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • A positive, proactive and reflective teaching style
  • Committed to safeguarding and the welfare of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
