Supply Maths Teacher – Newcastle

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Contract Type: Flexible (Day-to-Day, Short-Term, Long-Term)
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing
Salary: £163 - £252 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching personnel is seeking a passionate and adaptable Maths Teacher to join our team of supply educators working across secondary schools in the Newcastle area. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a variety of school settings while maintaining flexibility in your working schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that support student progress
  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Mark and assess work in line with school policies
  • Adapt quickly to new classroom environments and teaching needs

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Maths specialism or strong subject knowledge
  • Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
