Job description

Job Title: Secondary Maths Teacher
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £162–£251 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025


About the Role

You will teach Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. You’ll work as part of a forward-thinking department that values collaboration, creativity, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3–KS4

  • Differentiate instruction to support all learners

  • Track progress and provide effective feedback

  • Manage behaviour positively and maintain a safe classroom environment

  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and the wider school community

  • Work closely with staff to support student progression


The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a teacher who is:

  • QTS qualified (or equivalent) with a degree in Maths or a related field

  • Experienced in teaching KS3 and KS4 in UK secondary schools

  • Passionate about raising achievement and engaging learners

  • Skilled in classroom management and lesson planning

  • A strong communicator and team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
