Job description
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Lytchett Minster from September. Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to think critically, solve problems with confidence, and develop the mathematical skills needed for future success. Teachers with the relevant experience may also have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5.

The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire learners.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
