Maths Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Weymouth
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with the potential for a permanent position)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a thriving secondary school in Weymouth that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking department where you'll inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop confidence, resilience and a genuine understanding of mathematics. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages achievement.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic success.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.

  • Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

  • Works effectively as part of a team and builds positive relationships with students and colleagues.

  • Is dedicated to helping every student achieve their full potential.
