Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Dorchester to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and ambitious Maths department.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Key Stage 5 teaching experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Role

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that meet the needs of students of varying abilities.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback and support.

• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the Maths department.

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic success.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school setting.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• A genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and a commitment to delivering engaging lessons.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
