Maths Teacher – Bournemouth

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Contract: Full-time / Long-term / Permanent opportunities
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience and qualifications

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and committed Maths Teachers in Bournemouth and the surrounding Dorset area.

We are working with a range of welcoming secondary schools looking for passionate Mathematics teachers who can inspire students, build confidence and help young people achieve their academic potential.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Supporting students to develop their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations and further study.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students across a range of abilities.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitoring progress and providing effective feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Mathematics department.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or be working towards QTS as an ECT.
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Be passionate about supporting student achievement.
  • Have excellent classroom management skills.
  • Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Be enthusiastic, reliable and committed to education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
