Maths Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Dorchester
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with the potential to become permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and well-resourced secondary school in Dorchester is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), the school is keen to hear from individuals who are committed to delivering engaging lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous but not essential).

  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports students of all abilities.

  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage achievement.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a strong and successful Maths department.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic performance.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.

  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.

  • Is passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment.

  • Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
