Maths Teacher – Secondary

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
A specialist secondary provision in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and fully qualified Maths Teacher to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.
About the School:
The school supports students aged 11–16 with a range of complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and associated learning difficulties. The school provides a supportive, nurturing environment where strong relationships and personalised learning are central to helping pupils succeed both academically and personally.
The Role:
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Working within small class sizes and supported by a skilled team of teaching assistants, the Maths Teacher will play a key role in promoting confidence, resilience, and a love of learning in every pupil. A flexible, adaptive approach and excellent classroom management are essential.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience or interest in teaching students with SEND and/or SEMH needs

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make Maths accessible and engaging
-
A commitment to inclusive education and positive behaviour support

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
