Job description

Are you ready to start the 2025/26 academic year in an inspiring secondary school? Do you want to help students in Basingstoke develop confidence and skills in mathematics? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Maths to join a forward-thinking school from September 2025.

About the Role
This is a full-time teaching position delivering Mathematics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support students of all abilities, and play an active role in the life of the school. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department with a strong focus on collaboration and student success.

We welcome applications from:

  • Experienced Maths Teachers with QTS/QTLS

  • ECTs ready to launch their teaching career in September

  • Unqualified Teachers with strong subject knowledge in maths

  • Graduates in maths or related subjects who want to train as a teacher

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inspire students through creative and challenging maths lessons

  • Assess and track progress to ensure all pupils achieve their potential

  • Maintain a positive learning environment built on respect and high expectations

  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and resources

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject (desirable but not essential for unqualified applicants)

  • Good classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners

  • A genuine passion for maths education

  • An enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
