Maths Graduate

Are you a recent graduate of Maths and considering the next step in your career?

Have you considered working in Education or pursuing a career in teaching in?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to hear from recent Graduates of Maths following a number of requests from client secondary schools that are located in the Tyne and Wear Region.

  • Maths Graduate roles starting in September 2019.
  • Employment to be offered on a 12 month temporary basis.
  • Opportunity to work in a supportive school that will be committed to your future development.
  • Expected earnings of around £1200 a month

Following the successful introduction of a number of Maths graduates this academic year; a number of our client secondary schools located in the Tyne and Wear Region have requested that we assist them in the recruitment of Maths graduates this academic year.

Ideally you will be looking to secure a place on a teacher training course in the future or will have a keen interest in working with and supporting students of the age range 11-16.

If you are interested in becoming an 'Outstanding' teacher of the future then this is a great opportunity where you will be able to develop key skills and gain the necessary experience that is needed to complete a teacher training course in the near future.

What can you expect from this role?

  • Working alongside students on a 1:1 basis to help raise there attainment in Maths.
  • You will be involved in the planning and preparation of Maths lessons and working closely with teaching staff in the Maths department.
  • Opportunity to lead intervention sessions with small groups of identified pupils who otherwise may struggle to engage during the standard Maths lesson.
  • You will have the opportunity to cover lessons in Maths and other areas in school, delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
