Are you a recent graduate of Mathematics, or entering your third year of University looking to obtain further school based experience prior to starting a career in education?
Teaching Personnel are looking to work with a number of our client schools in Oldham who are looking to give Maths graduates the opportunity to work in their school and provide tuition and support to students in Mathematics and numeracy.
Highlights of the role as a Maths graduate in school;
- Full and part time hours, dependant on your preference of working
- Invaluable experience in a school setting before opting to take a teacher training programme
- Earn £9.50 - £12.50 an hour, dependant on experience and responsibilities
- Use your subject knowledge to support learners who may be struggling in Mathematics
- Support students in schools across the whole borough of Oldham
Whilst working in our client schools, Maths graduates will work alongside experienced members of teaching staff during Mathematics lessons to promote a positive learning environment, help reduce disruption and ensure students are focussed on their learning during lessons whilst also providing additional support in the form of tuition to small groups or individual students. This is an exciting opportunity for Maths graduates to build on any of their existing experience and to prepare for a potential career as a Maths teacher.
Though there are no levels of experience required, those with experience working in a school setting or similar will be desirable applicants to Teaching Personnel and their client schools. Applicants should have graduated or be working towards their Mathematics degree as well as holding a pass grade at GCSE level in English.
Any Maths graduates interested in applying should forward their CV in response to the advert or contact Manchester North directly.
