Maths Graduate

Maths Graduates required for a number of our Bolton Secondary schools in September.

Why are our client schools looking to recruit Maths Graduates?

A number of our client Secondary schools have highlighted they are looking to employ bright and enthusiastic Maths graduates to join the school in a supportive capacity to assist with a number of roles within the schools Maths department as well as other areas in school.

If you are interested in becoming an 'Outstanding' teacher of the future then this is a great opportunity where you will be able to develop your key skills, gain experience working within a supportive Maths department which is the perfect preparation prior to completing a teacher training course in the future.

  • Maths Graduates required for a number of client Secondary school in September 2018
  • 12 month temporary position starting in the new academic year
  • Opportunity to work in a supportive school that are committed to your future development.
  • You can expect to earn around £1200 a month.

The schools are likely to employ you on a temporary basis for 12 months before you then secure a position on a teacher training course, either within the school or through a PGCE placement at university. You will have termly meetings with senior members of staff where you can review your progress and set targets or areas that you can work to improve on.

What can you expect from this role?

  • Working alongside students on a 1:1 basis if they require assistance to help raise there attainment.
  • You will be involved in the planning and preparation of Maths lessons and working closely with teaching staff in the Maths department.
  • Opportunity to lead intervention sessions with small groups of identified pupils who otherwise may struggle to engage during the standard Maths lesson.
  • You will have the opportunity to cover other areas in school, delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
