A secondary school in the city centre of Manchester is looking for a Mathematics graduate who is looking to pursue a career in education. The successful Maths graduate will need to be confident and be motivated in their approach to working with 11 – 16 year olds. The successful Maths graduate will ideally have experience of working with young people as a tutor, youth worker or in another capacity; able to utilise transferable skills when supporting in the classroom.

Key highlights of this Graduate opportunity:

  • Pay range up to £80 per day depending on experience and school based hours; equivalent of £1550 per month
  • Gain further valuable experience in a secondary school
  • Opportunity to work in full class settings aswell as on a 1:1 basis with students
  • Full time Maths graduate required to take on a full time support role starting in October/November and taking on a school based contract if successful

The Mathematics graduate will be completing a full 360-degree role within the school. This role will require strong Mathematical knowledge and confidence as it will involve working with students in small groups or 1:1 outside of the classroom. This will provide the opportunity to support with intervention and catch up in Mathematics. As a core subject, the school place high regard in Numeracy and Maths skills, with the successful individual fulfilling a pivotal and important role in the education of the students.

The school is located close to the city centre of Manchester and is looking for an individual graduate who can easily access the school. The school is easily accessible from the local areas of Longsight, Droylsden, Beswick, Gorton and Belle Vue via public transport with the M60 motorway network also very close.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
