  • Mathematics teacher required - Full-time position, commencing after the Easter break (or sooner if possible).
  • Temporary contract for the remainder of the academic year in the first instance.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards (£23,720 - £39,406) *experience dependent.
  • Planning and marking responsibilities included with this role.

Following a recent review of the Mathematics department, the Head of Mathematics within our client secondary school has highlighted the need for another full-time teacher to alleviate pressure from current staff members, and to ensure the students are receiving the best support. This 11-16 secondary school have a large Mathematics department made up of 8 other members of staff. Located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Leigh, Warrington, Chorley and Bolton. On site parking is available to all staff and the facilities in school are state of the art, building developments in 2015 have given classrooms a modern look with excellent resources. There are just over 950 pupils on roll in school with a lower than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
