Our client secondary school is looking for a Mathematics teacher to join them in January to cover a maternity leave. This will be for 2 terms until the end of the academic year. As a good secondary school with a fantastic reputation located in the Oldham area, they are looking for a strong teacher of Mathematics that can teach at KS3 and KS4 level taking on full additional responsibilities including planning, marking and interdepartmental responsibility.

The school prides itself on supporting students to achieve their greatest potential and employs a student centric approach to teaching. The successful Mathematician should therefore be passionate in their practice and be looking for a long term Maths teaching position starting in January.

Highlights of this Mathematics teaching position:

  • Pay will be dependent upon the successful teacher's payscale but will range between £110 - £170 per day
  • Full time Maths teaching position: KS3 and KS4 with full responsibility
  • Cover a maternity leave in the first instance but given the growing Maths department, potential to secure a school based contract for the right teacher
  • Good graded secondary school situated in the Oldham area with an excellent reputation

The school are specifically looking for a Maths teacher who has experience in teaching up to GCSE level and can make a positive impact with their students. Given the 2 term post spanning the spring and summer term, there will be an element of KS3 and also KS4 teaching. If you have specific experience in providing intervention to year 10/11s or as a subject or curriculum leader then please make this known and highlighted on your application.

The school is situated in the Oldham area making it very easy to access via public transport being on the tram line. The school also has plentiful parking on site and is situated in very pleasant surrounding with fantastic facilities.
