LSA for Newcastle Pupil Referral Unit Required ASAP

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit based in Newcastle Upon Tyne to recruit a learning support assistant experienced in supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health. The role is full time and is to commence ASAP, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Ideally applicants would have previous experience with SEMH, Challenging Behaviour and ASC in a alternative Provision/PRU setting. An additional qualification such as Team Teach is desired but not mandatory.
Our ideal candidate will have:
-6 months experience supporting students with SEMH in a mainstream or SEND setting
-Team Teach Trained and a good understanding of SEMH
-Excellent behaviour management skills
