Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

English teacher required for a full time intervention post in September.

  • Negotiable rate of pay (experience dependant (£100 - £187 per day)
  • Full time post from January, on going supply contract
  • Located close to city centre and public transport links

Are you a qualified literacy teacher looking for an intervention based role in January? Would the opportunity to remove all full time responsibilities and support a large department in an intervention capacity suit your current circumstances?

I am working closely with an inner city academy in BD4 who require an Literacy teacher in January on a long term supply basis, this would be offering targeted support to individual and small groups of pupils. You must have previous experience teaching Literacy across the age and ability range.

The school is a three form entry school, with approximately 500 pupils on role. They share their site with two other schools in the area. Ofsted last visited the school in 2013 and graded it as ‘requires improvement’ so you would need to be ready for a challenge and eager to make a positive impact in school for this role.

A Literacy teacher joining this school will benefit from a reduced workload, a salary in line with your scale point and regular opportunities for CPD and training. If you can commit to working full time from January for at least a term but more than likely beyond that we would love to hear from you.
