Literacy Intervention Needed ASAP!

Are you an aspiring English teacher looking to develop your subject knowledge by working in a secondary school? or a passionate English graduate?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an English teaching assistant to join a large school in Newport on a full time basis after February half term. This is a temporary post initially until the summer, working as a teaching assistant within the English department of a multi cultural school with great facilities.
As a English teaching assistant, you will be expected to deliver a high standard of support to children who struggle with elements of Maths during lessons and as they prepare for exams. Previous experience tutoring or working as a teaching assistant is desirable, however the school are happy to consider English graduates with excellent subject knowledge and no classroom experience.

Situated in Newport, this is a large secondary school with a great ethos and excellent facilities. The position as a Maths teaching assistant will require you to support teachers in lessons, lead small groups of English intervention and also tutor children on a 1:1 basis.
