Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Primary SEND school who are searching for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2 with Learning Difficulties.
The role will involve working on a small group basis with pupils in need of additional support to reach their target goals. The main element of the role will be helping the students to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time to maximise learning. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of staff to manage and track pupil’s behaviour and learning. You will be supporting students who have Education, Health and Care Plans for SEND including:
- Speech and Language Impairments
- Autism
- Physical Impairments
Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with Severe Learning Difficulties and you will have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. The client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth/social work and counselling. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people, registration with Teaching Personnel will provide you will access to unique CPD opportunities, including an upcoming Team Teach training course which will highly benefit you in this role. You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds, who are well placed to enrol you onto your desired courses.
Teaching Personnel can offer Teaching Assistants competitive pay rates of up to GBP65 per day, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence as soon as possible, working 5 days a week including but not limited to school hours.
