Location: Blackpool (FY4)
Start Date: October 2026
Contract: Fixed Term until July 2027 (End of Academic Year)

Are you an experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool (FY4) seeking a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2026 until the end of the academic year.

This position will involve providing SEN support to a small group of children within a KS1 mainstream classroom, helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

The Role

• Supporting a small group of KS1 pupils with additional learning and developmental needs.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions.
• Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS1.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
