Primary Teaching Assistant – Year 1 (Blackpool)
via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting young learners during this crucial stage of their education.

The Role:

Supporting the class teacher within a Year 1 classroom
Assisting with the delivery of engaging and structured lessons
Providing targeted support in early reading and phonics
Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
Promoting positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment

✅ Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children (essential)
Previous experience supporting phonics development is highly desirable
A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is beneficial
Passion for working with KS1 pupils and supporting early learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
