Year 5 ASC Support Assistant – FY4 Area
Start Date: After October Half Term 2026
Location: FY4 (Blackpool area)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the FY4 area, who are seeking a dedicated and resilient ASC Support Assistant to work with a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and making a real difference to a child’s educational journey.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 5 with ASC
- Implement personalised strategies to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Support the pupil in managing challenging behaviour in line with school policies
- Help create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children with ASC or additional needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships and trust with pupils
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive attitude
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant, CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
