Teaching Assistant – Blackpool | September Start | 4 Days Per Week
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Blackpool from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
- Supporting children both in and out of the classroom.
- Assisting with learning activities and promoting engagement.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans.
- Supporting pupils with personal care needs where required.
- Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children with SEN, either in schools or other support settings.
- Is comfortable providing personal care.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Is reliable, committed, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
