Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Blackburn

Location: Blackburn
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Blackburn. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role, offering the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will provide both general classroom support and 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, as you will be supporting students with a range of needs and helping to maintain a focused and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering support across the classroom and on a 1:1 basis

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour when necessary

  • Promoting positive relationships and emotional wellbeing

  • Supporting individual learning targets and monitoring progress

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience working with children in a school setting

  • Strong behaviour management strategies
