Role Level: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Blackburn, BB2 4NW
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Ongoing, full-time placement

Are you a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and inclusive school environment? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming mainstream school in the BB2 area of Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to support learning activities.

  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.

  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN.

  • Help with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).

  • Recent experience in a classroom setting, preferably in primary or SEN.

  • A patient, proactive, and flexible attitude.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
