Level 3 teaching assistant - Bury

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a warm and friendly, larger than average primary school in the Bury (M26) area. The primary school is currently a part of a multi-academy trust and has recently been graded as 'Good' by Ofsted.

The Head teacher is currently looking for a Level 3 teaching assistant to work in the schools Year 5 class in a general role, supporting the pupils in the class room. Due to the schools catchment area, a higher than average number of pupils throughout the school have special educational needs including challenging behaviour. Because of this, the successful candidate will have previous experience with children with social emotional mental health needs.

The role:

  • Maths and English interventions with lower ability pupils
  • Engage pupils in the class room to raise attainment
  • Support 'Gifted and Talented' pupils with small group interventions
  • Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.

This large primary school is in the heart of Radcliffe's local community and works closely with pupil's parents and raise attendance and attainment within the classroom. The schools new senior leadership team is strong and supportive with teachers and teaching assistants given ample opportunity for professional development with CPD courses available for all staff.
