Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant required for small one form entry Primary School in Manchester (M11)

Experienced Teaching Assistant required to work in the Early Years Department

Ability to be Key Worker to a minimum of 7 children

Confident in delivering Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics small intervention groups

A small primary school in Manchester are looking to employ an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. The role will be full time 5 days per week and will involve providing daily support to the class teacher as well as being Key Worker for a minimum of 7 mixed ability children delivering Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics intervention groups.

The school has recently been graded 'good' by OFSTED and is said to be moving in the right direction towards outstanding. The Head and SLT have an open door policy and welcome all staff in to their offices during any time of the day.

The ideal candidate will have Early Years experience and be comfortable delivering the group work to a high standard. Ideally the candidate will be familiar with the curriculum and able to monitor, observe and assess pupil progress on a daily basis inputting data In to the school system.

The school is a mainly white British school with a low pupil premium budget due to the catchment area. Pupil behaviour is exemplary on the whole but can become difficult when 'situations aren't going their way'.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
