Job description

Learning Support Educator – South Bristol (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Educator to join our team at a specialist school in South Bristol, supporting young people with a range of additional needs.

Whether you're looking for full-time (8am–3pm) or flexible part-time hours, we’d love to hear from experienced educators who are passionate about making a difference.

About Us:

We’re a welcoming and inclusive school that supports children and young people with a wide variety of learning needs. Every day is different here, and we’re proud of the nurturing, encouraging environment we provide for our students.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Educator, you’ll work closely with the teaching team to:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs

  • Encourage independence and build confidence in learners

  • Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs

  • Support social, emotional and communication development

✅ About You:

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional or complex needs

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Great communication skills and a team mindset

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education

Experience in schools or SEN settings is a bonus, but not essential – if you’ve supported children in other settings (e.g. youth work, care, playwork), your skills are just as valuable.

Hours:

  • 8:00am – 3:00pm

  • Part-time and full-time options available

  • Term-time only (ideal for work-life balance!)

Location:

Our school is based in South Bristol, easily accessible by public transport or car.
