Job description

Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, SEN, and PLMD across our partner schools.

No formal experience? Not a problem. If you are proactive, adaptable and willing to learn, we want to hear from you.


The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assist children with SEMH, general SEN and PLMD needs
  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt support to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff
  • Provide personal care where required
  • Use initiative and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

You do not need prior SEN experience, but you should have:

  • A caring, patient and resilient approach
  • A willingness to learn and be proactive
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • An interest in supporting children with additional needs

Full training and ongoing support are provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
