Are you resilient, proactive, and compassionate? We’re looking for exceptional individuals to join our team as Student Wellbeing & Inclusion Mentors, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) — including those who may need additional personal care and emotional guidance to flourish in and beyond the classroom.

Who Thrives in This Role?

You don’t need to follow a traditional path — diverse life experience is valued here. You might be:

A Sports Coach – Bringing structure, motivation, and teamwork to inspire confidence and resilience.
A Psychology or Criminology Graduate – Ready to apply your understanding of behaviour, development, and learning in meaningful, hands-on ways.
A Social Worker or Support Worker – Experienced in SEN, trauma-informed approaches, or behaviour support, driven to empower young people.
️ Ex-Military Personnel – Offering calm leadership, consistency, and steady support under pressure.
‍ A Youth Worker, Teaching Assistant, or Mentor – Skilled in building rapport and supporting children in education or community settings.

As a Student Wellbeing & Inclusion Mentor, You Will:

✅ Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs.
✅ Deliver personal care respectfully and with dignity when required.
✅ Build trusting relationships that help young people feel safe, valued, and understood.
✅ Confidently de-escalate challenging situations with empathy and patience.
✅ Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement tailored support strategies.
✅ Serve as a consistent, positive role model — offering reassurance, structure, and encouragement every day.

What We’re Looking For:

Emotional resilience, empathy, and a positive outlook (a sense of humour helps too!).
️ Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
A calm, fair, and patient approach to behaviour support and personal care.
An Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
