Teaching Assistant – Sports Background

Locations: Bristol, Bath & Gloucestershire
Key Stages: 1–4
Daily Pay: £89–£100
Start Date: Ongoing / Immediate & Upcoming Roles Available
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by school)
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Term-Time Only

Are you a sports coach ready for your next challenge? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting energetic and motivated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire.

You’ll be supporting students aged 5–16 who may experience:
Mental health needs
️ Communication difficulties
Emotional & behavioural challenges
♿ Physical disabilities

If you’re active, resilient, and confident managing behaviour, this role is a fantastic way to channel your leadership and teamwork skills into a rewarding education career.


Your Role Will Include:

✅ Providing 1:1 or small group SEN support
✅ Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
✅ Supporting academic tasks and classroom activities
✅ Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
✅ Working closely with teachers and support staff

There is also potential to secure a permanent, full-time position for the right candidate.


Who We’re Looking For:

A strong interest in education and youth development
️ Confident communication and behaviour management skills
⚽ A background in sports coaching (highly desirable)
School-based experience is helpful but not essential
Empathy, energy, and commitment — your attitude matters most

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
