We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Luton.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, you will:

• Support students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable)

• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions

• Assist students with additional needs, including SEND

• Help maintain a positive and focused learning environment

• Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support student progress

• Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence

Who We’re Looking For

• Have experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, coaching, etc.)

• Are patient, resilient, and proactive

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Are passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential

• Can build positive and professional relationships with students and staff

Graduates considering teacher training or educational psychology are particularly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience working with children or young people

• A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

• Good literacy and numeracy skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable (but not essential):

• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, degree)

• Experience supporting students with SEND

• Previous experience in a secondary school setting
