Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Client School in Fulford, to appoint a Full Time Learning Support Assistant. We are heading into our 23rd Academic Year of supporting Schools across England and Wales and are the UK's Largest Education Recruitment Agency with over 84 Branches nationally. Teaching Personnel have Primary, Secondary and SEN Branches, meaning you will have 3 dedicated Consultants working to seek your ideal job role. Whether this be Full Time, Part Time, Long Term or Short Term work, Teaching Personnel can help!

The Job Role:

  • To support students excluded from mainstream education on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • To build a rapport with your key children and maintain trust, encouraging the pupil(s) to engage in lessons; using their likes and interests in motivate them
  • Be aware of the School's safeguarding and behaviour policies, ensuring the pupils needs and safety are at the forefront of everything you do
  • Help re-integrate pupils back into mainstream education, occasionally splitting your time between two Schools to help with the re-integration process
  • To deliver pre planned intervention sessions to help boost areas of weakness with pupils
