Learning Support Assistant needed to work with Autism

An outstanding Secondary School in the Maidenhead area is looking for a full time SEN Teacher to start immediately. The successful candidate will work on Long Term Supply basis and then if all goes well will be come a permanent member of staff at the school.

Role

The role will be to work with KS3 pupils. The class is made up of boys and girls with a range of SEN- namely Autism. Class sizes are relatively small (6-8) and the role entails supporting pupils with basic literacy and numeracy as well as social skills. You will be working alongside numerous other teaching assistants and LSA's.

You

The Head is looking for an experienced Teachers , someone with at least's one year's experience full time or part time either with SEN pupil or in a mainstream school.

• Keen to support pupils academically
• UK QTS

• Experience with pupils with SEN - namely Autism.

• Active person who is willing to take a calm approach of learning and teaching

This SEN school caters for primary and secondary pupils with a range of SEN including autism, speech language and communication needs and dyslexia. Staffs are highly knowledgeable with SEN and provide excellent facilities for pupils to learn, grow and develop to succeed in the workplace and live rewarding, independent lives.
