Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for people to join our Additional Learning Support teams in Winchester and Andover.  The role entails supporting students, either in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis, with a wide variety of learning needs to realise their goals and full potential. At these colleges we offer a variety of courses including Animal Management, Equine Studies, Agriculture and Motor Vehicles among others.

This work is important in order to ensure that future generations are building the skills and learning the qualifications in order to join the workforce and continue on to further education equipped to get the best out of life!

We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to work between 18.5 hours and 30 hours per week during term time (35 weeks per year) at the two campuses located in either Winchester and Andover. Being able to commute to the college is necessary, parking is available and there are great transport links in to the college allowing you to easily commute from Basingstoke, Southampton and Salisbury as well as smaller towns.

A good standard of education including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent and willingness to undertake further training is essential. Previous experience and relevant skills including working with young people aged 16-18 and having an interest in the courses on offer is a bonus but not necessary.

As an agency we are able to assist if you are interested in later applying for ITT, and becoming a teacher specializing in either secondary or further education.
