Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant for our client school based local to Stoke-By-Nayland.

We are looking for an experienced LSA who is confident working with a range of age groups and learning levels. A successful candidate will be able to support students within the classroom alongside their self-directed learning. This is a modern approach in which the school encourages students to work independently, or in small groups to learn topics in their own way, separate to the regular class teaching.

This position will involve duties including;

• Providing class support to SEND students
• Working with teachers to support the learning, educational progress and inclusion of pupil(s) with an EHCP
• Organising and managing an appropriate learning environment
• Assessing and delivering learning support to SEND students using knowledge and specialist skills
• Encouraging pupils to interact and work co-operatively with each other, engaging in all activities through support of their attributes, skills and knowledge
