Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Wirral
School Type: Secondary School
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Contract Type: Full-time (Mon–Fri), term-time only
Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Liverpool, seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with additional learning needs (e.g., SEND, SEMH, or EAL).

Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.

Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
-
Support students both academically and emotionally to ensure they reach their full potential.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people (ideally in a school setting).

A patient, caring, and proactive attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
-
A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
Teaching qualifications are not required—this is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or further a career in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
