Exciting Opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant in Winchester!
Are you dedicated to helping students thrive in their learning journey? Do you have a passion for supporting young people in reaching their full potential? We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team in Winchester!
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a key role in helping students achieve their best by providing tailored support in the classroom. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all students, ensuring that each child feels confident and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students on an individual or group basis, assisting with their learning and development.
- Help implement tailored strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Provide support with both academic tasks and social/emotional development.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor progress and adapt approaches as needed.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, particularly in a learning support or educational setting.
- A kind, patient, and understanding approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- A proactive, flexible attitude to meet the varying needs of students.
- Desirable (but not essential): Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
