Do you have experience working within a school or with children who have SEN?

OR

Do you have experience within a role that holds transferable skills, such as care/ support worker setting, ambulance, police force, military, residential care, sports coach etc?

We have an opportunity for you to work 1:1 with a child with additional learning needs in a school in Tilbury. This child needs someone with empathy and patience and in return you will have the reward of helping a child to access education and enjoy school life. 

EXPERIENCE WITHIN A SCHOOL IS NOT NECESSARY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE PASSION AND COMMITMENT TO WORK WITH CHILDREN!

About the role:

  • Sociable hours – 8.30am-3.30pm
  • NO WEEKENDS!
  • Working as part of a team to assist the teacher to allow the child to access learning
  • Part time option available 
  • Potential form a temp to perm role eventually gaining permanent employment

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with SEN children (not essential)
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children - MUST
  • Able to use own initiative to get involved – MUST

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
