Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN School – Southampton
Through Teaching Personnel | Permanent Opportunity | 5 Days per Week

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant looking for a full-time, permanent role? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Southampton seeking a committed LSA to join their team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role:

  • Full-time position, 5 days per week

  • Long-term placement through Teaching Personnel with the opportunity for a permanent contract

  • Supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs

  • Working closely with teaching staff, therapists and medical professionals

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support

Experience & Skills (Desirable):

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Autism awareness / Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • Supporting pupils with complex medical needs

  • Medical assistance training

  • Hoist use and manual handling

  • First Aid certification

  • Occupational Therapy support

  • PEG feeding

  • Personal care support

  • Working with non-verbal pupils or those with communication difficulties

While all training is valued, a caring attitude, resilience, and a genuine passion for working in SEN are essential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Availability to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

  • Commitment to securing a permanent contract

  • Previous experience in SEN, care, or support settings preferred

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • A patient, proactive and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
