SEN Educators & Support Staff

Location: Southampton
Settings: SEN & SEMH Schools

About the Roles

Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEN Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Support Assistants to work across a range of specialist SEN and SEMH schools throughout Southampton and Hampshire.

You will be supporting children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and complex needs

Available Roles & Pay

  • Support Assistants / Teaching Assistants: £13.75 per hour

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS required): Paid to scale

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support

  • Assist with learning activities and emotional regulation

  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

  • Support behaviour management strategies

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN or SEMH
    QTS required for teaching roles

  • Calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
