General Supply Learning Support Assistant
Southampton | £13.75 per hour | Weekly pay

Teaching Personnel is recruiting General Supply Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with additional needs across schools in the Southampton area. This role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and are available to work on a flexible basis.

Applicants should be able to start as soon as possible and be available for three or more days per week.


The Role

As a General Supply LSA, you will:

  • Support children with additional and special educational needs within the classroom

  • Work across a variety of school settings on a supply basis

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support where required

  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence


Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Be aged 21 or over

  • Have previous experience working with children with additional needs or a strong desire to work in this area

  • Be flexible, patient, and dependable

  • Be able to commit to regular weekly availability

Experience in the following areas would be particularly beneficial:

  • Care or support work

  • Nursing or Healthcare Assistant roles

  • Teaching Assistant or LSA positions

  • Sports coaching or youth work

A driving licence is desirable but not essential. All school locations are accessible by public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
