Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream Secondary School, Salisbury (September 2025 Start)
Are you a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a lasting impact on students’ lives? A well-established secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a skilled Learning Support Assistant to join their inclusive and supportive team from September 2025.
About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide crucial support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges. The role will involve working 1:1 and with small groups, supporting students to thrive academically and socially in a mainstream school environment.
Key duties include:

Providing tailored support to students with SEN and behavioural needs.

Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning plans to help students achieve their potential.

Offering support both in class and in small group settings to ensure students remain engaged and confident in their learning.

Working closely with teaching staff to track student progress and adapt learning strategies accordingly.

Promoting positive behaviour and fostering an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere.
Who We Are Looking For: The successful applicant will have previous experience working with students who have SEN or behavioural needs and will be confident supporting both 1:1 and in small group settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in students' lives, demonstrating a calm and patient approach, and understanding the unique challenges faced by students with additional needs. A full-time commitment is essential for this role.
