Teaching Personnel is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils aged 3-11 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Your Role:

✅ Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex learning needs
✅ Assist in delivering personalised learning activities tailored to EHCP targets
✅ Promote communication, independence, and social development
✅ Support sensory-based, practical, and play-focused learning experiences
✅ Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEND professionals
✅ Provide personal care and mobility support where required

We're Looking For:

✨ Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
✨ A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
✨ Confidence supporting pupils with complex learning needs
✨ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✨ A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential

Desirable:

➕ Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other alternative communication methods
➕ Previous experience within a specialist education or care setting
➕ Relevant SEND qualifications or training
