Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant at one of our partner primary schools in Plymouth, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and promoting the overall development and well-being of students. This position provides the flexibility to work on a full-time, permanent basis while also offering opportunities for flexible supply work.

Full-time positions have the opportunity to transfer onto a school contact, if desired. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students across various subjects and activities
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the needs of individual learners
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing tailored strategies and interventions
  • Help to maintain a safe and organised classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential
  • Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
