Full-Time | September Start | £89.83 - £94 per Day
Location: Newport, South Wales
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Salary: £89.83 - £94 per day (dependent on experience)

Whether you're working one-to-one with a pupil or supporting small groups, you’ll play a key role in helping students stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs both one-to-one and in small groups

  • Helping to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans

  • Encouraging positive engagement in lessons and helping students develop social and emotional skills

  • Working closely with teaching staff to maintain a focused and inclusive classroom environment

  • Providing practical support with classroom activities and helping students stay on task


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a secondary school setting or in a learning support role is highly desirable

  • Skills: Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Personal Qualities: Friendly, empathetic, patient, and proactive

  • Behaviour Support: Experience with de-escalation techniques or working with students with challenging behaviour is a bonus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
