Full-Time LSA – 1:1 Year 3 Support
Primary School in Locks Heath, SO31
Start Date: 3rd September 2026
A primary school in Locks Heath (SO31) is seeking a dedicated, patient, and resilient full-time LSA to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil from 3rd September 2026.
The pupil is non-verbal and autistic, and the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting their learning, communication, wellbeing, and inclusion throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil.
- Support the pupil's learning and engagement in the classroom.
- Assist with communication and help the pupil access the curriculum.
- Support the pupil's SEND needs, promoting independence and confidence.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school team.
- Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism, is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting non-verbal pupils or children with communication needs would be advantageous.
- A patient, calm, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- A genuine passion for helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
