SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

Location: Ringwood
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm
Start Date: September 2026

I’m currently looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of my lovely mainstream primary schools in Ringwood, providing 1:1 support to a child throughout the school day.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with children and wants to make a genuine difference to their day-to-day school experience.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to a child throughout the school day
• Help them access learning and participate confidently in classroom activities
• Build a strong, trusting relationship with the child
• Support their social, emotional and educational development
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of the child

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Caring, patient and approachable
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Confident working on a 1:1 basis
• Able to build positive relationships with children and staff
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed
• Experienced in an SEN setting is desirable, but not essential
