SEND Learning Support Assistant – You Can Changes Lives!

Location: Leeds 
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025

You’re not just there to support—you’re there to steady, encourage, help a child feel safe and seen.

We’re working with a brilliant specialist SEND school in Leeds that’s looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. You’ll work closely with pupils with autism and complex needs, helping them navigate their day with confidence and care. The school caters to children from EYFS to KS5.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with personalised learning
  • Helping children regulate emotions, build trust, and feel secure
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and the wider team
  • Creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment every day

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or adults with SEND
  • A calm, patient approach and the ability to think on your feet
  • Someone who genuinely cares and is ready to make a difference
  • Someone with three months' recent experience supporting in UK classrooms
  • Someone with a DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
